We’re looking for a full-time social media intern to join our busy social media team for a paid three-month period this Autumn. The ideal candidate should be an enthusiastic and hard-working recent graduate looking to get hands-on experience in social and digital media.
WHO ARE WE?
Well, we’re COCO. We’re one of Ireland’s leading independent production companies. You might have seen some of our work before. We’re the team behind First Dates Ireland, Room To Improve, The 34th, and many more fan favourites. We’ve produced content for top broadcasters and platforms both at home in Ireland and across the globe – from RTÉ2 to Netflix. Simply put, we’re all about creating great content, whether it’s TV, documentary, film or digital.
This year we’re ramping up our productions and need a hard-working, enthusiastic and multi-skilled intern to support our social media team in running the social media campaigns behind our many exciting productions. We support our key TV programmes, documentaries and films with specialised social media activity designed to drive viewership, engage our audiences, and give them a richer entertainment experience. We’re passionate about telling stories that cross platforms and push boundaries through social and digital media and we want someone to join our team to help us in our efforts to do so.
WHO ARE YOU?
The ideal candidate should be above all eager to learn and enthusiastic. You’ll gain experience working on exciting social media campaigns to support some new and established programming that’s going to air this Autumn. Ideally you should be a recent graduate looking to gain experience in social media, with particular respect to television and digital video. If you’re out of college and looking to take your first step on the career ladder and need some first-hand real experience, this could be the ideal role for you.
Your key responsibilities and duties in this role will include:
Assisting in the creation, posting and scheduling of social media content;
Editing, captioning and preparing programme content for social media platforms;
Editing and generating imagery for social media platforms.
Tracking and recording social media post performance data;
Assisting with community management.
Qualifications, skills and abilities:
Required
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop;
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets or other suitable spreadsheet software;
Strong understanding of primary social media platforms, (particularly Facebook, Twitter and Instagram), best practices and digital trends,;
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects, and work to deadlines;
Ability to work as part of a team;
Strong communication skills;
High level of attention to detail.
Desirable
Proficiency in additional Adobe Creative Suite apps an advantage, but not essential;
Qualification in communications, advertising, marketing, film & TV, or other related field;
If successful, you’ll work alongside and report to our in-house Social Media and Digital Producer, and collaborate with the various production teams.
This is a paid internship position for a three month period, beginning in late-August and running until late-November.
