After 5 great years on Room to Improve, Quantity Surveyor, Patricia Power has decided to take a break from television, and concentrate on her family life and her own business.
“After five very enjoyable and successful series of the Room to Improve show, I made the very difficult decision to step out of the show, in order to be able to prioritise a young family and the work life balance. I'll miss the great people and team involved and wish the show every success in the future and look forward to the new series”.
We wish Patricia all the best in the future and we will miss her, both on and off screen.
Introducing Lisa O'Brien
Although Dermot, the team and viewers alike will miss Patricia, this year, Room to Improve welcomes a new Quantity Surveyor - Lisa O’Brien to the team. Nicknamed 'The Wasp' amongst her colleagues, Lisa is taking over the reins and keeping an eye on Dermot’s elaborate designs. She will be negotiating the best deals and somehow make the impossible feasible.
It's a baptism of fire for Lisa on her first Room To Improve outing as Robbie and Lisa in Malahide plan to renovate their 1940's cottage with a budget of just 180K and a long wishlist of demand for Dermot.
Room To Improve returns this Sunday 29th January at 9:30pm on RTÉ One.
